Situation
The Colonial Coconut Hotel is situated near the resort village of Grand Bay
on the north coast of Mauritius, in a coconut grove, 25 minutes [25 Kms] from
the Capital, Port Louis, and one hour [65 Kms] from the airport.
The hotel, having a pleasant environment, is typically Mauritian in atmosphere
with attention to personalised care and service. The colonial type architecture
and furniture give a good feel of the past history of Mauritius. There is
a fresh water pool and a small beach facing Grand Bay and the islands of the
north.
Description
The hotel offers the following accommodation: 4 rooms with double beds - 10
rooms with twin beds and 14 rooms with twin beds and an extra bed.
All rooms are equipped with telephone, bathroom with shower and toilet - Overhead
fan and terrace or balcony. Maximum capacity: 70 beds.
Restaurant
'La Varangue' situated next to the swimming pool offers English breakfast,
'À la carte' lunch and a three course 'Table d'hôte' dinner.
Bar
'Le Mosquito' open from 10.00am till midnight.
Activities
Pool table - Social games - TV lounge - Snorkelling (equipment at the reception)
and Séga show once a week is included in the package.
Undersea walk - Glass bottom boat are with supplement.
Nearby facilities are also payable: Casino, Parasailing, Discothèque, Bicycle
and moped hire.
