Mauritius Ship Models | Boat Models in Mauritius This vessel was built and launched at Orient in July 1736. It travelled for the first time on the 11th November to Pondicherry under the command of Captain L.Laurent Aubin Dupleyssis then was successively placed under the commands of the captains Poree de la Toche, Drake and Richard de Lamarre on its different trips to the Indies. It measured 29m long, 9,60m wide and 21m high and had 28 cannons. The Saint Geran wrecked on the 17th August 1744.

Mauritius Ship Models | Boat Models in Mauritius Ce vaisseau fut contruit et lancee a l'Orient en Juillet 1736. Il voyagea pour la premier fois le 11 Novembre pour le Pondicherry sous le commandement du capitaine L.LAURENT AUBIN DUPLEYSSIS puis fut successivement commande par les capitaines POREE DE LA TORCHE, DRAKE ET RICHARD DE LAMMARRE de ses differents voyages aux Indes.

Il mesurait 29m de long 9,60m de large et 21m de haut et possedait 28 cannons. Le St.Geran fut naufrage le 17 Aout 1744 sur lea cote Nord de l'ile Maurice alors qu'il avait a son bord 149 hommes don't 9 seulement furent sauves. C'est a ce moment que Bernadin De Saint Pierre fut inspire d'ecrire le celebre roman "Paul et Virginie".
